Culture & Tradition
Our club and especially the section "Culture and Tradition" works dance classes for all ages based on an appropriate learning of our country's traditional dances and conveying our culture.

The fundamental objectives of "Filippos" are:
a)The rescue and maintenance of tradition
b)The transmission of the local musical ,transmition and prominence of local costumes
c)The transfusion of the spirital and cultural treasures of region in the newer generations and mainly their presentation in the cross-cultural environment of ecumenical meetings.
Thrace
Our activities:
1) Greek traditional dance groups (folklor). We count more than 100 dancers of all ages in different groups (which depends on age).
2) Organization of cultural events(folk festival, traditional music festival, authentic traditional costumes exhibition) twice a year in summer months (June-July).
3)Attendance in a lot of folk festivals in Greece and abroad.
4)Organization of informative conversations and lectures on intellectual, cultural, social , educational and other subjects of running topically , with called distinguished speakers and important scientists.
The administrative council and the members of Filippos, are wishing and hoping in the opening of collaborations with corresponding spaces of actions as essential element for the enrichment and the qualitative upgrade of our activities, with the aim of the promotion of produced work of individual activities and training level of our members.
